Top 11 International Psychic
One Email Changed Everything
In March 2013 I received an unexpected email.
The producers of Extra Sensia – International Psychic Challenge asked if I wanted to audition for their television show in Ukraine.
More than 100,000 people applied. I hadn't. I had been invited. Of course... I said yes.
Episode 1
100,000 people applied. I didn't. I was invited.
276 contestants were selected for the first challenge (the box).
30 moved on to the second challenge (the frog in the milk).
18 advanced to the third challenge (Juliette Binoche).
Only 12 finalists remained. I was one of them.
I also had the privilege of spending a few private hours with Juliette Binoche. 😊 She became the very first person I ever read with my new deck, Prisma Tarot.
Episode 2
This is where I'm introduced as one of the 12 finalists. About 23 minutes into the program, you'll see me reading the energy from a photograph of a child.
I was completely confused. I couldn't connect with the child at all. Instead, I was asked to describe the parents. I could only sense that the father was tall and very dark. But I kept talking about the mother.
I described her as intense. Her work meant everything to her. I couldn't really see her son in her life. I said she was a workaholic. Then it suddenly hit me.
"She is psychic. That's it. She is really psychic."
And who was the mother? Me.
The producers had created a computer-generated child using the DNA of me and one of the male contestants, Ingvar Le Raven.
When we came downstairs and Pascha revealed the parents, I immediately pointed at Ingvar and said,
"He's the father!"
Then I realized... I was the mother.
You'll actually see me burst out laughing.
Later in the program we visit a woman who had contacted the show because she kept hearing her deceased daughter calling "Mom." Other members of the family had experienced the same thing.
You'll see me in that investigation about five minutes into the program. My impression was that it wasn't really about the daughter. I sensed the woman's father instead. I felt he had abused both his wife and daughter before taking his own life in the house. The daughter, however, felt like a guardian watching over her mother.
Interestingly, Dilaram, who eventually won the competition, came to the same conclusion. Benedikt also focused on the father. Other contestants talked about evil spirits, black magic, and even blood running down the walls.
I was inside the house myself. I never sensed blood. Only overwhelming sadness.
About 30 minutes into the program, when the judges evaluate us, you'll hear Pascha describe me as extraordinary. That was a real boost because, honestly...
I felt completely lost most of the time. The judges and producers constantly pushed us to our limits. They wanted to see how much pressure we could handle and whether we could stay centered while using our abilities. One thing became very clear.
I was the only contestant who questioned the child's photograph.
I kept saying,
"I can't connect with the child."
"It feels like the child doesn't exist."
But I could feel the mother very clearly.
Some of the photos below show the elimination ceremony. The women stood on one side. The men on the other. That episode was called Men vs. Women.
A few contestants received warnings, but no one was eliminated.
Then Pascha turned to me and announced that I was Psychic of the Week.
I think my smile says it all. 😊
Episode 3
I am facing the balloons, the garden rakes, and the live electrical wires. I also explain that I'm already blind in my left eye. Once they put the blindfold on... Well... I couldn't see anything at all. Big surprise! 😊
Here you'll see me wearing a suit covered with 24 balloons.
I managed to finish the challenge with 8 balloons still intact.
Only one balloon had to survive for me to continue.
After that came the garden rakes.
I crossed them quickly without stepping on a single one.
Then came the electrical wires.
The first obstacle went well.
At the second one, I had to lift my dress to step over the wire, but I couldn't lift it high enough.
Every challenge was done blindfolded.
In all readings I was using my own deck, Prisma Tarot, for a reading with Hector, a very well-known television chef in Ukraine.
I had never seen him before. I had no idea who he was. Unfortunately... He wasn't happy with my reading. ☹️ I couldn't help noticing that the contestants who gave flattering readings received the best reactions.
The elimination.
On the women's side stood Arra (R.I.P <3), Valentina, Elina, Dilaram, Veronica (R.I.P <3)... and me.
I wasn't named Psychic of the Week this time. But I also wasn't eliminated.
That happened in Episode 4.
Episode 4
This was my final episode. I finished in 11th place, making me one of the Top 11 International Psychics of 2013.
One challenge involved reading the energy of a young woman who had been murdered.
Another challenge involved choosing one melon. Only one was safe. The others contained purple dye. After a disagreement with the production team, who more or less persuaded me to choose one of the melons on the top row to the right... I chose the wrong one. ☹️
Later you'll see me again during the judges' evaluation. And then... I'm eliminated. Oddly enough, I was very happy. When they asked how I felt, my answer was simple:
"Mixed emotions."
That described it perfectly. I was thrilled to have made it that far. At the same time... I was also very happy to go home. Before I left, everyone gave me a warm hug. It's an adventure I'll never forget.
Finishing Top 11
I was eliminated in Episode 4. That left me in 11th place internationally. Honestly... I'm still very proud of that.
I also had the opportunity to give a private Tarot reading to a famous French actress - Juliette Binoche
